Our first web design client, and we're still looking after their site twenty years later! We built this website to help Heartland Racewalkers to promote their club and to provide tools, race results, and new relevant items to its membership and other interested parties.
Heartland Racewalkers is a fitness club that serves the Kansas City area and supports local racewalkers with meetings to work out together, races, and general information on the sport. We built their site over two decades ago and have been hosting and maintaining the site ever since.
Before we built the website for Heartland Racewalkers, they had no web presence at all -- no way to share news, announcements, or race results with the membership or information about the sport to the general public.
We built a bespoke static website using php/css which we update manually, working with the Web Liaison, Alan Poisner, who provides news, race results and other updates.
The site reflects the brand of the club using reds and purples and featuring heart-healthy iconography.
Heartland Racewalkers needed a website but had a very small budget. We were able to build a functional website that has survived two decades, with a few visual refreshes over that time -- we are committed to helping our clients. We built, host, and maintain the site for the club.
While this site is not built to bring in new customers, it does function well as a resource for those interested in racewalking in the Kansas City area. Heartland Racewalkers is the only racewalking club in the area and we are thrilled to help them promote the sport!
